HamptonBeach.Rent is Lawrence Shea’s owner-operated vacation rental and year-round property management company in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire. I rent my own homes, manage homes for other owners, and take guest bookings direct.
I moved to Hampton Beach because I loved the area. I bought my first home here in 2020 and meant to live on the Seacoast. Flooding in 2022 and 2023 changed that plan. The damage left significant debt, and a long-term rental no longer worked. In October 2023 I taught myself the short-term rental business from scratch: pricing, guests, cleaning, licensing, storms, and the platforms. There was no inherited portfolio and no playbook.
I had to learn every ugly part of this job myself. There was no shortcut and no one handing me answers. Once I got through it, I realized I could spare other owners that same education. That is what HamptonBeach.Rent is.
