Navigating Parking in Hampton Beach
If you've ever visited Hampton Beach on a sunny day, you know that parking can be the biggest challenge of your trip. Whether you're staying with us or just visiting for the day, here's everything you need to know about where to park and how to make it stress-free.
The Best Way: Book a Rental with Parking
All our listings come with dedicated, private off-street parking included. Most of our properties offer at least 2 spots!
Lawrence's Tip
If you're coming with more cars than your rental can fit, try to arrive before 10 AM. Parking lots fill up incredibly fast on summer weekends, and the pricing for paid lots is usually less in the morning!
🌅 Arriving Early?
Standard check-in is 4:00 PM, but you don't have to wait until then to hit the beach. You can book Early Parking to secure your spot as early as 12:00 PM.
🚗 Overflow Parking
Bringing more cars than your rental allows? You'll need to utilize public or private paid lots. We recommend dropping your gear at the rental first, then moving overflow cars to a long-term lot.
Where to Park: Every Option
1. Hampton Beach State Park
Located at the south end of the beach (Ocean Blvd). It's a massive lot but fills up extremely fast.
- Pros: Direct beach access, bathhouses, reasonably priced.
- Cons: This is usually the first parking lot to fill up, since it's by far the cheapest..

2. Police & Fire Station
You can pay to park at the Hampton Beach Policy & Fire Station. They generally have some of the best prices.
- Pros: Central location, lots of spaces.
- Cons: Can cost $20-40+ per day during peak weekends. Fills up by 10 AM.
3. Metered Street Parking
Available along Ocean Blvd and most side streets.
Pro Tip: ParkMobile
Download the ParkMobile App before you arrive. It allows you to pay and extend your meter time right from your beach chair!
- Warning: Meters are enforced strictly from 8 AM to midnight in most areas.
4. Private Lots
Scattered throughout the side streets (Ashworth Ave, Ocean Ave, H Street, etc.).
- Prices vary wildly based on the weather and time of day.
- Always verify the "Daily" vs "Overnight" rates if you plan to leave your car. Overnight tends to be double.
⚠️ Avoid the Tow
- • Never block a driveway, even for "just a minute" to unload.
- • Do not park in "Permit Only" residential zones without a permit.
- • Hampton enforcement is notoriously efficient—they will tow or ticket within minutes of a violation.
Make your vacation easier by staying at a property with guaranteed parking.
